Job Title: Middle School Drama Club Sponsor

 

Job Summary: The Middle School Drama Club Sponsor will oversee and guide students in the production and appreciation of theater arts. This role involves fostering a creative and inclusive environment where students can develop their acting, stagecraft, and teamwork skills through various theatrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Guidance:

    • Lead and mentor students in all aspects of theater, including acting, directing, and technical production.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive atmosphere within the club.
  2. Club Meetings and Activities:

    • Schedule and conduct regular club meetings, rehearsals, and workshops.
    • Organize auditions, cast selections, and rehearsals for school productions.
  3. Production Oversight:

    • Plan and execute school performances, including selecting scripts, coordinating sets, and managing schedules.
    • Collaborate with students on design elements like costumes, sets, and lighting.
  4. Community Engagement:

    • Promote the Drama Club within the school and the broader community.
    • Organize events such as performances, fundraisers, and workshops to enhance visibility and support for the club.
  5. Skill Development:

    • Provide instruction and feedback to students on acting techniques, stage presence, and other theatrical skills.
    • Encourage creativity and self-expression among students through improvisation and character work.
  6. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other faculty, parents, and community members to support club activities and productions.
    • Partner with local theater organizations for workshops, guest speakers, or field trips.
  7. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain records of student participation and performance evaluations.
    • Handle budget management and fundraising efforts to support club initiatives.
