JOB TITLE: Certified - Chromebook Repair and Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Building Administrator

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Chromebook Repair is an elective class for all Bedford Middle School 7th and 8th grade students. Students are primarily tasked with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Chromebooks not only for our campus but sometimes for other buildings in the corporation as well. Students must be reliable and responsible as they will be trusted to move about the building as needed. 

 

The class is not only about repair. Students will also be introduced to a variety of technology, such as programming, CAD, networking, and video production. Our students are here to serve, so we endeavor to provide a broad base of knowledge and experience in a variety of technologies so we can be ready to help where we may.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of Chromebooks for BMS
  • Teach students how to diagnose problems, fix, repair, and return Chromebooks

Qualifications              

  • Valid Indiana Teaching License
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, how to repair parts of a Chromebook
  • Ability to maintain accurate records or parts needed, parts ordered, and part received
  • Ability to work closely with the technology department to oversee the work flow of damaged devices
