JOB TITLE: Substitute Teacher
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.
Substitute Rates:
- Non-Certified Rate: $80.00 daily
- Certified Teacher Rate: $100.00 daily
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Building Instructional Capacity
|
- Reports to the principal or designee upon arrival at the building with neccessary forms.
- Assumes responsibility for behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
- Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom assigned as fully as possible.
- Follows all policies, rules, and produres to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
- Remains in assigned classroom until the offical school closing.
- Reports to the principal at the conclusion of the teaching day, verify whether or not his/her services will be required on the next teaching day.

Planning & Professional Learning
|
- Teaches the lessons outlined and descrbed in the classroom teacher's lesson plans as prepared by the absent teacher.
- Writes a report about work completed at the end of each teaching day; leave it for the regular classroom teacher.
- Reviews all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day with the principal, team leader, or department head.

Student Support
|
- Monitor's all students in the classroom.
- Assist all students with assignments.
|
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
|
Educational Requirements
|
- Valid Driver's License
- Appropriate Sub Permit
- Pass a background check
- Demonstrates a disire to aid all students
- Substitue Packet with Administration Building

Skills
& Knowledge
|
Demonstrated teaching, oral & written communication skills, technology and leadership skills. Able to give instruction to students. The ability to respond to individual student needs.
|
Experience
|
Service as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as sitizens.
Conduct other duties related to the Substitue Teacher's duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent of schools
